When installing LoanAce on Windows Vista
Please remove previous faild installations of LoanAce using the steps at the bottom before continuing.
Note that the default Vista security policy requires two LoanAce components to get Administrator permission.
One of the components enables the select boxes (dropdowns) on the forms, and the other is required by 10 of our credit reporting agencies so please allow both.
To uninstall previous versions of LoanAce:
- Click on the menu button (what used to be the Start button)
- Click on Control Panel
- Under Programs, click on Unistall a Program
- Select LoanAce and click Uninstall/Change or simply double click on LoanAce
- Select 'Remove completely' (loan files will not be touched)
The unistaller might hang for a long time but we have found that after a couple minutes you can ignore the "Change Program" screen (just leave it open for now) and go on with the new installation
- Go back to LoanAce.com/Download and follow the instructions to install
