How can a processor keep files from different clients separate?
- Without LoanAce running open Windows Explorer (Start/ Run type Explorer)
- Navigate to My Documents and find the LoanData folder
- Rename the LoanData folder to CompanyAdata (or whatever you’d like to name the file)
- Create a new folder in My Documents and name it CompanyBdata
- Open the CompanyAdata folder and select all the files and folders inside and copy them.
- Go to the CompanyBdata folder and paste the items copied above.
- When you start up LoanAce there will be no files listed so you will have to go into Tools/ Settings and then the Loan Folder Setup tab.
- Click on the little Folder Icon at the far right in the user data folder and depending on if you want to work with Company A or Company B loans browse to the appropriate folder.
- Click Apply and then Rebuild Index to update your file listing with the files associated with the company you are working with.
- The very first time you’ll want to Delete the Company A loans that are showing up when you have the Company B folder selected and vise versa
