How can a processor keep files from different clients separate?


  1. Without LoanAce running open Windows Explorer (Start/ Run type Explorer)
  2. Navigate to My Documents and find the LoanData folder
  3. Rename the LoanData folder to CompanyAdata (or whatever you’d like to name the file)
  4. Create a new folder in My Documents and name it CompanyBdata
  5. Open the CompanyAdata folder and select all the files and folders inside and copy them.
  6. Go to the CompanyBdata folder and paste the items copied above.
  7. When you start up LoanAce there will be no files listed so you will have to go into Tools/ Settings and then the Loan Folder Setup tab.
  8. Click on the little Folder Icon at the far right in the user data folder and depending on if you want to work with Company A or Company B loans browse to the appropriate folder.
  9. Click Apply and then Rebuild Index to update your file listing with the files associated with the company you are working with.
  10. The very first time you’ll want to Delete the Company A loans that are showing up when you have the Company B folder selected and vise versa
