E-mailing LoanAce Files
E-mailing a LoanAce (.lad) File:
- Open your LoanData folder on your computer. Can't find your LoanData folder? Click here.
- Each loan file has its own folder. Right-click on the loan folder you want to send.
- Select Send To and then Compressed (zipped) folder.
- Right-click on the newly created 'borrowerfirst-borrowerlast.zip' (identical file name ending in .zip).
- Select "Send To" and then "Mail Recipient". An e-mail will be created with the file attached
OR simply attach the (.zip) file to an e-mail and send.
Opening a (.lad) File:
- Right-click on 'borrowerfirst-borrowerlast.zip'.
- Select Save As and save the file in your LoanData folder.
- Open My Documents and then your LoanData folder.
- Right click on the (.zip) file and select Extract All.
- Select the defaults.
Once extraction is complete, the file will be listed with your other loans in LoanAce.
E-mailing a Fannie Mae (.fnm) File:
- Open the loan you want to export.
- Click Export on the top menu.
- Choose where to save the file (somewhere you can locate easily).
- Name and save the file.
- Attach the newly saved file in an e-mail.
Note: File extension will be (.fnm) - do not use a period in the file name.
